I'm a both a wisdom seeker and a researcher, which has led to the accumulation of a LOT of resources! Here is what kept me busy this summer..
Teachers
I've worked with quite a few experts and wisdom teachers over the past five years, including certifying with Dr. Shefali (Conscious Parenting & Life Coaching) and Dr. Gabor Maté (Compassionate Inquiry Method). Another teacher I love, and have done a number of courses with on trauma healing, both individual and collective, is Thomas Hübl.
Jakki Leonardini - I spent the summer working with Jakki, who is an energy healing practitioner. I first heard her interviewed on this podcast, and so connected with her discussion of the importance of shifting from fear to love. While more traditional coaching/therapeutic approaches which help us question false beliefs and reframe our experiences are important, I've increasingly found that integrating tools that help us shift emotions in our body through working with our own energy to be fundamental.
Australian Rikki-Jane Adams leads the https://instituteforintuitiveintelligence.com/about/. She does a remarkable job of connecting science and intuition, and I'm currently taking her professional course to add to my toolbox of learning how to root out fear in our lives and heal.
Podcasts
There are so many great ones! Here are a few that I've found particularly helpful:
Tara Brach - I love Buddhist Tara Brach especially when things feel difficult, her teachings and meditations, on topics like moving from the head to the heart, fear, radical acceptance are gemstones.
Pulling the Thread - Elise Loehnen does fantastic interviews on the big topics and questions, powerfully weaving together science, psychology, culture and spirituality like few others.
Feminist Wellness - I find some of her episodes break down extremely well specific topics, such as "How to Overcome the Habit of Catastrophizing" are great, along with "Stepping out of the Rescuer Role"
Sounds True: Insights at the Edge - Tami Simon has for years been bringing together Spiritual teachers, visionary writers and luminaries asking them the hard questions that are on everyone's mind. The latest episode I really enjoyed was with Amy Scher on removing the emotional, energetic blockages that prevent our truest self-expression.
Mystic Sisterhood - I also really enjoy the fearless and grounded conversations curated by Maureen Spielman on the more mystic topics that I love to engage with.
Books!
A few favorites from my summer reading..
Superconscious Intuition - Intuition beyond the trinkets and superstitions of the new age by Ricci-Jane Adams - I love her work unpacking the science behind intuition and consciousness and laying out the steps to apply to our lives.
Conversations with God, an Uncommon Dialogue, book 1 , by Neale Donald Walsch (if you are in the least bit spiritually curious, you MUST read this)
